I’ve emailed him a few times to no avail . I don’t understand why. I’m pretty sure I have the right email (regularcars@gmail.com). If he’s just ignoring me I think it’s incredibly un-professional. :(

I e-mailed him a while ago offering up my P71 and mentioning that if he wants I can get him in touch with my friends who have interesting (and regular) cars. Never heard back, but he recently did put up someone else’s P71 so it’s something.

I got a reply to an email, but this was way back when, during season two I think. At this point the show’s so popular that he’s probably inundated with emails and can barely get to them all, let alone reply to every last one of them.

Speaking of your cars, I saw your trucks black twin yesterday night. It had the same stripes and all. It was absolutely mint, and he gave me a nod and a wave as I climbed in to my 4Runner. It made my night.

Unfortuneately a lot of people who buy p71s do so because they want to look like a cop. Others, though, genuinely do like the fact that it’s cheap, relatively reliable (even after being thrashed for years), and mildly interesting (V8 and RWD, can’t go wrong there).

The fact that people think I’m a cop isn’t really a factor in why I like the car - it is nice on the highway when everyone gets out of your way, and the amount of aggressive maneuvers people pull around me is certainly lower than average, but it also means that anyone in front of you typically will NOT under any circumstances do the speed limit or anything above. People stare you down, wave you through stopsigns out-of-turn (which is dangerous), and I’m waiting for the day I find my car vandalized.

Sure, I could make it look less like a cop - remove the spotlight (which actually is handy), change the grille, change the wheels, etc, but I’m not about to spend money on mods I don’t want to do just for other peoples’ sake. At least I don’t still have a pushbar.

This isn’t a rant at you - just the general perception that everyone who buys an interceptor is, as the forums call it, a whacker.
